COMPETITIONS, food and music will greet visitors at a cookery school's first birthday festival this weekend.
Tickets are still available for the Maymessy event on Sunday which will help fundraise for young carers across the county.
Social enterprise Maymessy - which is celebrating its first birthday since opening a cookery school – is organising the event at Barn Garlands Farm in West Challow near Wantage.
The organisation works with schools, charities and youth groups to teach vulnerable children and young adults essential food skills.
School founder Anna Richards said: “We wanted to celebrate our first birthday in style and what better way than by offering young carers and their families a day of respite in our beautiful grounds here at Maymessy Barn?
“It looks set to be super fun for everyone, with a circus skills workshop, performances from a rock choir, cookery classes in our kitchen, helter skelter, bouncy castle and stalls.”
She praised Vale of White Horse District Council, Tesco in Faringdon and the Big Lottery for their financial help and added: “Children learn about teamwork and collaboration, they strengthen their confidence and self-esteem while learning about healthy eating and wellbeing.
"With more than 2,700 young carers in the county, we hope our festival raises some vital funds so we can continue delivering this work.”
