Graham Alexander praised his Fleetwood Town side for the measure of control they had in beating Oxford United.
He said: “I thought in the first half especially we bossed it and could’ve scored before we did.
“It was really pleasing to get the goal because we definitely deserved it.
“We would’ve loved a second before half-time to give us a bit of breathing space, but that came in the second half with a great strike.
“It was a great three points for us and a clean sheet as well, the boys are really happy.”
Alexander was pleased with the attitude of his players.
He said: “The lads kept believing in themselves and kept pouring forward. They showed great energy.”
