ABINGDON Vale’s Lottie James bro-ught home three medals from the regional championships.
The 14-year-old clinched gold in the 50m backstroke, silver in the 400m individual medley (IM) and bronze in the 200m breaststroke.
Clubmate Natalia Druett, 15 was the top performer at the regional youth event.
She clinched silver and bronze medals in the 100m and 200m breaststroke respectively, but was beaten into fourth place in the 50m event.
All three of her times met the qualifying standard to race at the British Championships this summer.
Vale’s Harry James swam a season’s best to win bronze in the 100m breaststroke.
It was a feat matched by Theodora Wornham, 13, in the girls competition, which saw her secure a qualifying spot at the nationals.
Other club members to shine were Jana Cooper Marcos, who set a new club record of 27.71 in the 50m freestyle, Edgar Stepliuk, Maddison Langley, and Bethan Lillistone.
Meanwhile, Vale’s head coach Amanda Ford has been selected as one of England coaches on the National Performance Pathway.
