Abingdon United went goal crazy on the Isle of Wight as they notched back-to-back Southern league Division 1 South & West wins for the first time this season with a 6-3 victory over Newport on Tuesday.
Newport went ahead through Louis Bell early on, and after Luke Holden equalised on 22 minutes, Bell struck again to make it 2-1.
That was to be the last time Abingdon trailed as Holden levelled maters at the break.
Second-half strikes from Anaclet Odhiambo, Ryan Curtin, Michaes Herbert and Jamie Brooks competed the romp, Bell snatching Newport's crumb of comfort from the penalty spot.
Abingdon Utd: Tricker, Meade, Franklin, McCalmon, Alexis, Herbert, Beechers (J Brooks 58), Curtin, Odhiambo (Carbon 88), Holden. Subs not used: Woodley, Moss, R Brooks. Att: 95.
