VALE TKD enjoyed more success on the national stage as they took home more than 30 medals at the London Championships.

The Wantage martial arts school claimed 15 golds, 11 silvers and six bronze medals across a range of disciplines at the Guildford Spectrum.

Instructor Carl Davis was one of four Vale competitors to bag double gold across their divisions and age groups, including patterns, sparring and power breaking.

Students Naveh Kraus, Ayana Kraus and Freya Zywko also twice stood on the top step of the podium.

Edward James, Sebastian Zywko, Marcin Jedrzejowski, Danielle Lowman, Rocco Washington, Jakub Jedrzejowski and Natasha Turner rounded off Vale’s list of gold-medal winners.

There were also strong performances from Lilly Emptage and Jack James as both secured two silvers.

Noah Hurst, Henry Cox, Archie Cox and Kalid Nasser completed the group of multiple medal-winners, with Harry Lowman and Michael Loveridge adding one bronze each.

There was yet another milestone for the club as 17-year-old Aisha Macey became the youngest umpire to centre ref sparring matches at the tournament, which featured 262 competitors from 40 schools.
