FORMER Oxford United boss Karl Robinson has been charged with allegedly acting in an improper manner near the match officials’ changing rooms after a game.

Robinson has been head coach at Salford City since the beginning of January, with the Ammies’ 1-0 loss at AFC Wimbledon on April 6 leading to the charge.

The fiery encounter saw Salford duo Theo Vassell and Elliot Watt sent off deep into second half stoppage time.

An FA spokesperson stated: “Salford City manager Karl Robinson has been charged with breaching FA Rule E3.1 following the EFL League Two fixture against AFC Wimbledon on Saturday, April 6.

“It’s alleged that following the completion of the fixture, on two separate occasions in or around the match officials’ changing rooms, he acted in an improper manner and/or used abusive and/or insulting words or behaviour towards a match official.

“He has until Monday, April 15, to respond to the charge.”
