A hat-trick from Ben Jeffries helped Kingston Bagpuize defeat Witney Mills by six wickets in Division 3 of The Oxford Times Cherwell League on Saturday.
Jeffries’s treble came in figures of 5-50, with Dave Pearce adding 4-23, as Mills were all out for 160, despite 65 from Ross Morgan.
Martin Shepherd (68) and Rob Keates (36) were key to Bagpuize’s 161-4.

Ben Jones impressed with bat and ball in Challow & Childrey’s nine-wicket demolition of Hanborough in Division 2.
Jones took 3-23 and Joe Harris 4-21 as Hanborough were skittled for 115 – despite 47 from Matt Busby and 34 from Michael Dove.
Challow then raced to 119-1, Jones top-scoring with 48 not out and Jimmy Phillips finishing unbeaten on 42.

Abingdon Vale suffered a nine-wicket thrashing at the hands of Tiddington, despite a battling innings by Dan King.
King made 91 not out in Vale’s 202, with Tom Allen adding 62. Sam Hollingshead (4-61) did the damage with the ball.
William Goodman (85no) and John Mackie(85) then sped Tiddington to 205-1.

In Division 5, Lee Ainsworth hit 68 not out to lead Wallingford to a four-wicket victory over Abingdon Vale 2nd.
Ainsworth and James Barrett (67) took Wallingford to 177-6, with Tim Chivers claiming 4-19 for Vale.
Only Chris Butcher passed 30 in Vale’s 173-9, in which Alan Bowman took 3-25.

Justin Penrose’s 60, supported by 32 apiece from Neil Phillips and Roger Podbery, saw Challow & Childrey 2nd to a six-wicket victory over Bledlow Ridge 2nd.
Richard Dryden (63) and Martin Harris (54) steered Ridge to 189, with Ryan Gordon taking 4-35. Then Challow’s trio saw them home.

Didcot had no answer to a a fine spell of bowling from Dipayan Das as they fell by 47 runs to Oxford 4th in Division 6.
Oxford rattled up 231-9 with Tom Smith (84) and Chris Jones (69) to the fore. Daniel Alderson returned 4-40.
Didcot made a good fist of their reply, but fell foul of Das (5-37) and were all out for 184.

Phil Evans scored 103 not out as Abingdon Vale 3rd rattled up 218-2 against Ox-ford & Bletchingdon 3rd in Division 8.
But he still ended up on the losing side as Nondies replied with 220-4.

There was a century for Andy Ireson (111no) as Didcot 3rd scored 227-8 against Oxford Downs 3rd in Division 9.
Downs replied with 185-7 to earn a draw.
