OLLIE Hoeblyn retained the Didcot and District singles title with a 3-2 victory over his Oracle teammate Nigel Baker in an exciting final at the Abingdon RBL Club.

Hoeblyn won the first frame 62-59 on the black, but Barker took the second 83-50, making an opening break of 44.

.The third frame went to Hoeblyn who made a superb 52 break to win it 68-44, but Barker levelled the match with a break of 36 to win the fourth frame 85-19.

But Hoeblyn would not be denied and, with the help of a 20 break, won the decider 75-24.

The final of the Novices Cup was won by Wantage's Rob Adcock, who beat Nigel Archer, of Abingdon RBL, 3-0.

Adcock made breaks of 21 and 22 to win the first frame 66-2, while in the second, he ran out with a 35 break, potting the black and all the colours to win it 95-16. He clinched the third frame 56-35 to run out an easy winner.

In Premier & Division 1, leaders Wantage A thrashed their teammates Wantage C 5-0 to go ten points clear of nearest rivals Oracle A.
