Paul Plumridge hit 127 not out as Aston Rowant 2nd racked up 282-6 dec from 49 overs after being put into bat by Bourton Vale 2nd.

Andrew Levick (48) and Leigh Lewis (43) also batted well for Rowant, who were denied victory by Vale's last pair as they closed on 161-9.

Jason Constable put in a fine all round performance as Shipton-under-Wychwood 2nd made the long trip to Leighton Buzzard Town 2nd worthwhile.

Constable took 4-41 and Craig Lambert 5-20 as Town were dismissed for 105. Then Constable (41no) and Russell Hayes (45no) saw Shipton to 106-3 in the 23rd over.

Thame Town 2nd look doomed to a bottom-two finish after losing by five wickets to the team above them, Oxford 3rd.

Dom Medcalf (61no) and Michael Beard (48) had taken Town to a competitive 207-2, but Andrew Smith then hit 86 and Callum Biel 55 not out as Oxford reached 208-5.

Stanton St John Willows look all but down after suffering their eighth defeat from eight starts at Oxford & Bletchingdon Nondescripts 2nd.

Nine-man Willows were bowled out for 129, then Tim Rattigan (38no) and Anthony Benson (31no) took Nondies to 132-2.
