RADLEY’S Alice Hopkins and Emma Haley produced strong performances at the British Indoor Championships at the Arena, Birmingham.
Competing in the 60m hurdles, Hopkins finished fourth in her heat in a time of 8.87secs.
The 19-year-old said: “Unfortunately I hit a hurdle so it wasn’t great.
“I love the crowd, up high around you.
"After being injured last year, I would like to complete a heptathlon and improve my personal best this year”.
Haley was fifth in her 800m heat in 2mins 12.96secs.
“I am a little disappointed,” she said.
“I would like to have gone a bit quicker but it is good experience to be here and hopefully I can build on it in the summer."
Meanwhile, Abingdon’s Duncan Talbot won three medals at the Southern Counties Veterans Indoor Championships at Lee Valley.
The vet 60 competitor took gold in the 60m hurdles with a time of 12.17.
Talbot set an age group club record of 9.67 for silver in the 60m, before finishing second in the high jump with a leap of 1.35m.
Elsewhere, Abingdon’s Noel Blatchford was the top vet 70 in the Enfield Race Walking League series.
