Oxford United have called off their pre-season friendly at Lincoln City.
The game against the Vanarama National champions at Sincil Bank was scheduled to be played on Tuesday, July 25.
But with new manager Pep Clotet keen to maximise time on the training ground, plus games against Brentford, Birmingham and Leeds United coming up, Lincoln were contacted last week about scrapping the game.
The Imps have now accepted the request.
In a statement, United said: "We thank Lincoln City for their understanding and wish them well on their return to the Football League this season."
