BERINSFIELD fell to their first North Berks League defeat of the season as they lost 4-1 at North Division 1 title rivals Saxton Rovers, writes Phil Annets.

The hosts seized control of the title race, thanks to a double from Danny Perry either side of goals from Louis Bloomfield and Frankie Haines.

David Murphy netted a consolation penalty late on for the away side.

East Hendred came from two down to win 4-3 at home to Dorchester.

The visitors seemed set for their first points of the season when they raced into a 2-0 lead, but two goals from Mike Farrelly, alongside Liam McCullough and Jason McDowell efforts gave Hendred the win.

Cameron Patterson, Tom Srawley and Jordan Lyne were on target for Dorchester.

Goals from Jason Pook, Brad Gill and Sam Roberts gave Stanford in the Vale a 3-0 win at Sutton Courtenay to maintain their four-point lead in Division 2.

Luke Lewis-Rippington, Dean Staniford and Aiden Di Toro secured a 3-2 win for Westminster at Turnpike Sports.

Marcham opened up a five-point gap over bottom side Faringdon Town Res with a 2-1 home victory.

Craig Dredge and Rob Fathers struck for the hosts, while Paul Smith replied.

Stanford in the Vale Res were knocked off top spot in Division 4 as Mark Brind netted to inflict their first defeat of the season and give visitors East Hendred Res a 1-0 triumph.

Letcombe won through to the semi-finals of the Berks & Bucks Intermediate Cup with a 2-1 extra-time victory away to Finchampstead.

The visitors trailed at half-time to a close range goal from Scott Hunter, and had to wait until added time in the second half to equalise through Sean Webb’s headed goal.

Tom Stone scored in extra-time to earn Letcombe a trip to Olney in the last four on February 13.
