A brilliant century break from Karl Walker was the highlight as Abingdon Conservative Club beat Oxford Bowls Club A 5-1 in the seccond round of the Gentworks Oxford League’s Colin Cutler Memorial Trophy.
Walker in a 110 break in his second frame against John Williams, having produced a run of 53 in his first frame.
Playing off scratch in this competition, which used to be called the Buildbase Trophy, Walker beat Williams (+36) 86-57, 143-43.
Peter Fenn was Oxford Bowls Club B’s hero with three wins, including the decider in their 4-3 success over Green Road B.
