HARWELL Bowls Club members John Pigott and Robin McStay edged to victory in the Berkshire Royal British Legion Pairs Competition at Suttons, Reading.
Representing the Harwell RBL club, they pipped Crowthorne pair Bill Cheale and Peter Moruzzi by one shot after scoring three on the last end in a 18-17 win.
The final swung backwards and forwards before Pigott and McStay finally sealed victory under the floodlights.
