DIDCOT cruiserweight Dariusz Skop says his next fight is a stepping stone to a world ranking.

Skop aims to make it five straight wins at London’s Camden Centre on Friday and for the first time in his ring career, he’s matched with a fighter who has a winning record.

Opponent Gyorgy Novak is a Hungarian who has eight wins from 12 fights.

Enzo Maccarinelli and Mirko Larghetti, both world-title challengers, hit hard enough to stop Novak.

Skop reckons he packs the same kind of punch.

The 30 year-old, from South Moreton BC, predicts an early finish to the scheduled six-round fight, saying: “I think I will win this fight inside two rounds.

“I hope to be fighting for titles this season and by the end of the next year I want to be ranked in the top 30 in the world."

Tickets for the show at the Camden Centre are available from 07703 757097.
