MOTORSPORT: Valtteri Bottas is hoping for a return to form at the Canadian Grand Prix this weekend, after a frustrating showing in Monaco.
The Finn, who races for the Grove-based Williams team, could only finish 12th last time out, but is hopeful a return to Montreal, where he finished third last year, will inspire him.
“Canada is one of my favourite races,” he said. “We finished on the podium last year so I have some very good memories.”
Teammate Felipe Massa is also looking for an improvement after finishing tenth in Monaco.
He said: “In the last two years we’ve done really well in Canada, so I really hope we can repeat that performance.”
RUGBY LEAGUE: Oxford RL ended a run of nine straight defeats to beat Hemel Stags 24-18 at the weekend.
The club, who play home matches at Abingdon’s Tilsley Park, are now off the bottom of Kingstone Press League 1.
