MARTIAL ARTS: Katie Franks claimed three titles at the 11th Tae Kwon-Do International World Championships in Birmingham.
The Wantage & Didcot TAGBT student and assistant instructor also won bronze in the ladies black belt tag team.
Franks, one of 3,720 entrants at the event, took part in the black belt light heavyweight point stop division, dominating throughout to claim a comfortable victory for her first world title.
Her second triumph followed a day later in the black belt light heavyweight continuous division, obtaining a clear decision in the final.
She claimed a third gold in the International Team event, representing England.
Instructor, Master Martyn Dipper, said: “I’m very pleased with Katie’s performance. She’s trained incredibly hard leading up to this event.
“She had a superb weekend and everything came together as we planned.”
