GOLF: Drayton Park men’s run in the Mail on Sunday KO competition came to an end when they lost 4-1 away to a strong Celtic Manor side at the last-32 stage.
Skipper Simon Berry secured the only win for Drayton, whose other team members were Steve Greenwood, Matthew Evans, Rob Hughes, and Andy Griffiths.
It has still been a great summer for Drayton’s men.
They have reached the Hillman Trophy semi-finals, where they will face either Carswell or Woburn, while they are also second in the Central 7’s Division 1 and second in Division 4.
