MICHAEL Appleton knows he will again upset a few players when picking his team to face AFC Wimbledon tomorrow.
With the exception of
long-term absentees Christian Ribeiro and Ryan Ledson, the U’s head coach has a fully-fit squad to choose from.
Last week’s impressive 2-0 win at Bolton Wanderers saw Alex MacDonald and Wes Thomas change the game after coming off the bench.
And Appleton admits the fight for starting places gives him a nice dilemma to have.
“I am sure there will be some players not happy with the team I pick,” he said.
“But if they are not selected, it is up to them to make their case if they come on.
“Competition for places is vital.”
Centre back Curtis Nelson could be named on the bench.
Wimbledon duo Jake Reeves and Dean Parrett are doubts.
