A POOL in Abingdon has temporarily closed due to “unforseen circumstances”.

White Horse Leisure and Tennis Centre, in Audlett Drive, was the only pool available for residents to use during the hot weather.

However, the facility released a statement earlier today (15) stating it has had to temporarily close. It is unknown when the pool will reopen.

In the statement online, it said: “We're aiming to re-open as soon as we can. Please return to our website for the most up-to-date information.

“We would like to apologise for this temporary pause in service while we do everything we can to get you back to Better.”

Abbey Meadow pool, which is owned by the Vale of White Horse District Council, is due to reopen for six weeks but only from July 25.
