A ROAD in Abingdon will be closed during the night next week.

Radley Road will be closed to motor traffic between the hours of 7pm and 6am today (August 19) and Tuesday (August 23).

The purpose of this closure, between the stretch between Abingdon and Radley, is for road resurfacing and new road markings.

The official diversion for this route is to go via Kennington, Hinksey Hill interchange and the A34.

It will still be accessible to pedestrians and cyclists and the Radley Road roundabout and Twelve Acre Drive should still be accessible.

Access will be maintained for emergency service vehicles and for those frontages within the closure area, subject to the progress of the works and liaison with the works supervisor.
