EIGHT Ministry of Defence (MOD) homes have been refurbished and are ready for sale in Abingdon.

Annington, a private owner of residential property has refurbished the two-bedroom homes and renamed the development, near Dalton Barracks, as Lamborough Fields.

A dedicated Service Discount will be available to buyers in the Armed Forces, subject to eligibility criteria, offering a £500 contribution from Annington for every £25,000 of the cost of the home, up to a maximum of £5,000.

Andy Edwards, branch manager at Davis Tate, said: “It’s a lovely quiet location on the edge of Abingdon, overlooking green fields, while the town centre is just a short drive away.

“These properties are a great find for first time buyers, and a great alternative to the expensive new builds which are starting to spring up in town.

“We are also expecting Lamborough Fields to be popular with Service personnel seeking an easy commute to Dalton Barracks.”

Stacy Whitehead, marketing manager at Annington, added: “As with all of our refurbished properties, a great deal of care has been taken to restore the homes at Lamborough Fields to a high standard – and as such they are a blank slate for a new homeowner to make their own.”
