A FESTIVE campaign to collection presents for people less fortunate has been launched for the 8th year.
Didcot charity Play2Give, founder by Andrew Baker, has commenced it’s annual ‘Sleigh2Give’ campaign to help ‘spread cheer, joy and smiles to poorly children in hospital, the vulnerable, those with disabilities and families on low incomes’.
The previous campaigns have seen the charity distribute thousands of presents across Oxfordshire with gifts totalling £220,000 in value.

In 2015, Sleigh2Give was devised as an one-off appeal in tandem with the town's Sainsbury's store to collect toys for the children's wards.
But it has since become an annual festive drive with the number of gifts increasing each year.
Last year around £50,000 worth was donated by the generous community including supermarket shoppers, corporate sponsors, schoolchildren, offices and even local netball clubs and dance schools.
People are being asked to ‘dig deep’ and donate new toy, books, non-perishable items, arts and crafts, colouring items, puzzles and games, knitted blankets and comfort items for newborn babies, vouchers and other gifts.
There are already a number of public donation points confirmed including Space Store in Didcot and Oxford Covered Market, three branches of The Crafters Emporium, the Courtyard by Marriot Oxford South Hotel and The Lambourn centre on Abingdon Business Park.
