A MAN has been charged with kidnap and other offences following an incident that occurred in Didcot.

Robert Bennett, aged 44, of Kibble Close in Didcot has been charged with two counts of robbery, two counts of false imprisonment and one count each of; robbery, attempted robbery and assault.

It’s in connection with an incident that occurred on Saturday (October 15) in Ladygrove in which two victims were held at knife point in their car where they were forced to handover their personal possessions and drive to a cashpoint to take out cash.

One of the victims was assaulted during this.

Bennett has since been remanded in custody to appear at Oxford Crown Court on Friday, November 11.
