A MUSIC teacher discussed her sex life with a 15-year-old boy pupil before sexually groping him and forcibly kissing him, a jury heard.

Emma Ginger, of Phoenix Court, Thame, is accused of sexually abusing a boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, whilst she was working as his music teacher at a school in Buckinghamshire.

The 36-year-old head of music denies two counts of sexual activity with a child under the age of 16 years.

The court was told that she intentionally touched the boy twice in July 2021.

It was heard that both of the incidents happened on the same evening at a sixth form party Ginger attended, which was described as 'inappropriate' by the prosecution.

Herald Series:

Julian Lynch, prosecuting at Aylesbury Crown Court on Monday (February 26) said: "Mrs Ginger had been the boy's teacher for a while. You'll hear him describe her as a fun teacher.

"Over time Mrs Ginger would blur the appropriate boundaries.

"She would go to parties with students outside of school hours and said the boy looked attractive or smelled nice."

The jury heard that Ginger attended a party with sixth-formers on the evening of July 17, 2021.

Mr Lynch described how the defendant's behaviour had deteriorated during the party, as she became increasingly drunk.

"Mrs Ginger became 'huggy' and touchy which was an inappropriate way for a teacher to behave," said the prosecutor.

"She started to quiz the boy and asked if he had feelings for her and asked whether he thought she was good-looking.

"The Crown says she was attracted to this 15-year-old pupil.

"Mrs Ginger continued physical attempts to flirt with the boy and put her arm around his waist repeatedly."

Mr Lynch described how the defendant had sat next to the boy at the party and began the touching.

"She asked again if the boy was attracted to her. She told the boy that she would lose her job for what she was doing.

"She began to rub the boy's thigh, ran her hand up his leg onto his groin and touched his penis through his clothing.

"The boy describes going into shock. Mrs Ginger whispered in his ear that he wanted what was going on."

The alleged victim gave a police interview after he made the complaint about Ginger's conduct.

A video played for the jury showed the then 15-year-old boy talking about the events at the party in 2021.

He said the defendant kept trying to put her arm around his waist throughout the party.

"Mrs Ginger kept saying she was going to lose her job for what she was doing," he added.

Herald Series:

"She had been rubbing the top of my thigh and my knees and then moved inside my thigh until eventually she was rubbing my groin and ended up touching my private area - I just went into shock."

The boy said that Ginger had touched his penis.

He added: "It was outside of the clothing. She was moving her hands around, squeezing and stuff.

"I went into shock. I couldn't move and I didn't know what to do. I was scared and felt sick."

The court heard that the defendant then pushed the boy's face into hers and kissed him on the lips - trying to force her tongue into his mouth.

The boy described the aftermath of the incident, saying that in the days after the defendant had said she was "black-out drunk" and didn't know what she was doing.

The jury heard Ginger guilt-tripped the alleged victim after the incident had happened, saying she was "black-out" drunk.

The boy added: "She was trying to guilt trip me.

"She had had a lot of personal problems. She said it was my fault that I wasn't there to make sure she was okay."

The court heard Ginger had told the boy on another date that she had 'given her husband a blowjob' the day before and 'had slept with over 100 people at university'.

The trial continues.
