AN arrest warrant has been issued for a man who allegedly obstructed a highway in Oxfordshire.

Anthony Martin, of no fixed abode, was reportedly caught on April 29 this year ‘wilfully obstructing the free passage’ of the A4130 Gangsdown Hill in Henley.

The 44-year-old was charged by police and was due to appear in Oxford Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, May 16 at 2pm.

However, Martin failed to attend his court hearing and an arrest warrant without bail has been issued.

The court proceedings was due to be Martin’s first hearing.

It is unknown how he will plead to the offence.

If guilty, Martin could find a prison sentence or an unlimited fine.
