A HOUSING developer has been given planning permission for the next two phases of the Nobel Park development in Didcot.

Cala Homes will be starting phases two and four of the development which will see 287 new homes including a mix of apartments, detached, semi-detached and terraced houses.

These phases will form the next stage of developing the wider Nobel Park community, which will include a secondary school and a further primary school, a neighbourhood centre, a new sports and community centre.

The housing mix provided by both Cala and Legal & General Homes will include a proportion of affordable housing, giving more first-time buyers and long-term renters the chance to enter the property market.

Caroline Owen, senior planning manager at Cala Homes, said: “We carefully considered the next stage of development at Nobel Park to ensure it brings more benefits to this already established community, as well as offering more people the chance to live in this beautiful, well-connected location.

“Delivering an additional 287 homes alongside our sister brand , Legal & General Homes, will offer more options to local buyers. As well as a generous affordable housing provision, the local community will benefit from green open space, strong transport links and a new primary school.
