SEVERAL people from Didcot have been prosecuted for motoring offences in the last month.

Their cases have been heard at Oxfordshire Magistrates Court and all of them have been fined.

Lee Burnage, 38, of Manor Crescent, was fined for pulling a trailer with his Vauxhall Astra with the cord exposed on November 12 last year.

He was caught driving on Copenhagen Drive in Abingdon with the front near side wheel fitted with a pneumatic tyre which had the cord exposed.  

He was ordered to pay £440 as well as a victim surcharge of £44 and court costs of £90. Three points have also been added to his license.

Lee Harris, 39, of Marjoram Way, was fined £461 for exceeding 40mph on the A41 in Bicester in February.

He pleaded guilty to driving 74mph and was also ordered to pay £46 in victim surcharges and £90 court costs. Six points have been added to his license.

Alan Riley, 41, of Gary O’Donnell Drive, pleaded guilty to drive more than 70mph on a motorway in Devon in December.

He was ordered to pay £371 as well as £37 in victim surcharges and £90 court costs. Six points have been added to his licence.

Sebastian Solecki, 26, of Dudwell, was fined £120 for driving 51mph on a 30mph road in August.

He was caught on Drayton Road in Abingdon and was ordered to pay £120 in fines, £34 in victim surcharges and £90 in court costs. Six points have been added to his license.

Laura Humphries, 29, was fined £40 for driving a vehicle she wasn’t insured on down Wantage Road in Didcot.

She pleaded guilty to the incident, which happened in December and saw six points added to her licences, and she was also ordered to pay £34 victim surcharges and £90 court fines.

Katy James pleaded guilty to driving 37mph down Ducklington Lane in Witney, a 30mph per road, in October last year.

Three points have been added to her license and she was ordered to pay £66 in fines and £34 in victim surcharges.

Samuel Waters, 30, of Yew Tree Crescent, was caught driving a Volkswagen Index over 40mph in London.

He pleaded guilty and had three points added to his license plus a £142 fine, £34 victim surcharge and £90 court costs.

Anton Ivanov, 28, of Elm Park, was fined £369 for driving over 34mph in Wallingford. He pleaded guilty and was also ordered to pay £37 in victim surcharges and £90 court costs.

Six points have been added to his license.

Michael Sievwright, 51, of East Hagbourne, was fined £350 for exceeding 70mph on a dual carriageway in October. He was caught driving on the A34 near Radley driving 83mph.

Three points have been added to his license plus £35 victim surcharges and £90 court costs.
