Sir, Thank goodness, I thought I was losing the plot. When the Abingdon pedestrian crossings idea was originally dreamed up as a condition for building new houses in Drayton Road, the reason given was to improve traffic flow.
The recent Thames Water repairs in Drayton Road showed conclusively that any hold-up causes traffic congestion (October 29). This is just simple common sense to most of us.
