Sir, I was surprised to read the article in the Didcot Herald with the comments from councillor Davies about the Jubilee Way roundabout and her concerns with the traffic jams.

There is an obvious solution to help with this which has been on the cards in Didcot for over 20 years. When they built the northern perimeter road, they promised the residents of Ladygrove that the road would be continued to meet up with the Wallingford Road at Hadden Hill.

If this had been implemented then the residents of Abingdon Road would not have to put up with the lorries and 6,000 cars which use the road every day.

It would also take away the traffic at the Marsh Bridge roundabout and ease the massive traffic james from Wallingford at peak times.

Surely this option should be looked at seriously. The residents of Didcot deserve better.
