Sir, Please stop blaming Aldi for the extra traffic on the roundabout.
First and foremost there has always been too many roads coming into and off the roundabout, and they are too close. When signalling to turn, nobody knows which road you wish to take, (because they are too close together).
Secondly, it took me 25 minutes to get from Park Road down to Marsh bridge back in February this year. Aldi was not even open then.
A lot of the trouble has been, too many road works, in too many places in and around Didcot, and some road closures all going on at the same time, which means most traffic using the Broadway as their means of entering and leaving Didcot.
While I appreciate something needs to be done to alleviate the problem, don’t blame Aldi.
After all, they did get planning permission for their venture, so whose responsibility was that?
