Sir, I would like use your letter column to publicly thank Wantage Town Council for the support it gives to Wantage Counselling Service, and in particular, on this occasion, thank the mayor for donating some of the proceeds from her recent wonderful charity Flamenco show to us. This support is much appreciated.
Each year, we need to raise about £10,000 to enable us to continue to offer subsidised counselling sessions with a view to never turning anyone away who needs our services but cannot afford to pay what it costs us for their weekly sessions. If anyone would like to support Wantage Counselling Servicefinancially then there is the ideal opportunity as, I undertook an abseil down the Spinnaker in Portsmouth on Saturday, May 2, in aid of WCS.
