Sir – It seems that our current Didcot Town Council knows the price of everything and the value of nothing.

They look at the well-used and well-loved allotments around Didcot and they don’t see healthy, happy residents connected with the land, growing their own fresh food. They don’t see generations of Didcot residents enjoying exercise and fresh air. They don’t see much-needed ‘green lungs’ for an ever-growing town.

All they see are pound signs and lucrative land deals.

The current set of councillors seem to be completely detached from what residents really want – perhaps if more of them lived in the town, they would not be so far off the mark.
