Sir – I see that the Westgate Library (Oxford) and the Abingdon Library have now got new computers and operating systems (no spending cuts there, then).
People now have to learn a new system, layout and shortcuts.
I have been told there are no games on these computers and there has been no improvement on time needed to access some of the websites. In fact, download times have increased.
Abingdon Library uses two tin cans and a piece of frayed string with knots in to connect to the internet. Westgate Library uses carrier pigeons.
When will this superfast broadband thing be fully available to all throughout Oxfordshire?
Better still, throughout the country. It seems long overdue.
